Services We Offer:

Psychotherapy - Psychotherapy is the treatment of mental illness and behavioral disturbances in which the psychologist, through definitive therapeutic communication, attempts to alleviate the emotional disturbances, reverse or change maladaptive patterns of behavior, and encourage personality growth and development. Psychotherapy tends to be more in-depth and long-term.

Counseling - Counseling aims to support individuals in overcoming challenges and improving their mental well-being. Counseling is generally more short-term and solution-focused, addressing specific issues like stress, relationship problems, or decision-making. It often emphasizes practical strategies and coping mechanisms to help individuals navigate immediate concerns. While counseling might help someone manage stress or improve communication, psychotherapy often seeks to understand and heal deeper psychological wounds, fostering long-term change and personal growth.

Consultation - An approach in receiving guidance and support during a life transition or in daily living. Consultation involves helping a client find some answers, get advice, guidance and/or resources for their particular concerns. It is usually shorter-term and can include phone sessions to continue the support. It allows you the opportunity to explore problems, maybe learn some new skills (e.g. communication, parenting), and get some advice about moving your life toward increased satisfaction and emotional wellbeing.

Psychological Evaluations - A formal method to assess a variety of mental abilities and attributes, including achievement and aptitude, personality, and neurological functioning, in order to draw conclusions using a combination of techniques to assist in achieving treatment and/or educational goals.

We work with patients to identify risk factors related to lifestyle, such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and sleep, and develop personalized strategies to optimize health. The goal is not just to treat illness but to create a foundation for sustained health and well-being.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) - a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. Over time, EMDR can lead to a significant decrease in the distress associated with traumatic memories, allowing the individual to move forward with a greater sense of peace and emotional resilience.

  • Forensic Evaluations for Competency-To-Stand-Trial, Immigration, Emotional Distress - Specialized services provided to attorneys and/or the court.

  • Sand Play Therapy - is a type of therapy that helps children express their thoughts and feelings in a safe and creative way. Using a small sandbox filled with sand and various toys or figures, the child creates scenes or stories that reflect what’s going on in their mind. Through the scenes they create, the therapist can better understand the child’s inner world and help them work through any issues they may be facing.
